Welcome to Singletree

View from Knob Hill hiking trail looking south toward Arrowhead ski area.

Singletree was established in 1978. Today the development is almost complete with nearly 1,000 homes made up of a vibrant community of full- and part-time residents from young families to retirees.  Because of the friendliness, quality of homes, community amenities and great location, Singletree is known as one of the top family communities in Eagly County.

Tucked throughout the community are several pocket parks and a pond and park area at Charolais Circle.  The Berry Creek Metropolitan Distrct (BCMD) owns and manages these parks and lands on behalf of the Singletree community.  The U.S. Forest Service land wraps around the north, west and east sides of the community.  Across I-70 to the south, the land is public property managed by Eagle County and the Eagle County School District.

The Metro District collects a portion of your property taxes to repay the debt for the original infrastructure, to maintain the community properties and for current and future capital projects such as the Winslow Road underpass.  The Singletree Property Owners Association (SPOA) dues are used for community projects, social events, communications, design review and covenant enforcement.

At the heart of the community is Chip Ramsey Park with sports fields, a playground and a community center.  The community center offers a workout room complete with a treadmill, two ellipticals, an upright bike, a recumbent bike and a power plate.  A personal access code to the exercise room can be obtained by emailing .  BCMD also sponsors exercise classes Tuesday through Friday mornings.  The schedule can be viewed online by clicking on the Calendar.  As a homeowner, you can rent the community center for your own events at a discount.  To reserve the center, complete the Community Center Use Agreement.  Additionally, the Metro District provides funding to local recreation programs which are available through the recreation districts that serve the valley.

The newly expanded trail system connects Singletree to National Forest land with trailheads at Mesquite, June Creek and the newly established Knob Hill Trail.  Click on the Trailhead Map link to view a map locating each trailhead.

The Sonnenalp Resort in Vail owns the 18-hole championship golf course and all of the Sonnenalp Golf Club facilities located within Singletree.  The club is operated as a semi-private facility and Singletree property owners have limited access to the golf course and tennis courts.  The Balata Restaurant located in the club house is open to the public and is a great meeting place for friends and family.  For Balata reservations you may call (970)477-5381.

For golf, Singletree property owners have discounted rates and, subject to space availability, may book golf tee times up to a week in advance.  A community card is needed for each player and can be obtained by contacting .  You will find that the shoulder seasons, spring and fall and late afternoon, tee times to be the best value.  Singletree property owners can also access the tennis courts on a space available basis for a fee of $20 for 1 1/2 hours.  Tee times and tennis may be arranged by calling the golf pro shop at (970)477-5371.

Many of the Singletree property owners are members of the Sonnenalp Golf Club.  If you want more information about the club and memberships, please call the Membership Director at (970)477-5388.

Singletree is a covenant community and SPOA and its Design Review Committee are responsbile for maintaining an attractive community and allowing our residents to enjoy their homes in harmony with their neighbors.  The design review committee meets semi-monthly to review new plans or proposed exterior changes.

SPOA and the BCMD sponsor events during the year to bring Singletree neighbors together.  In March, the SPOA annual meeting is held and directors are elected as needed and the budget approved.  SPOA also sponsors events such as spring clean up and seasonal parties.  These and other events will be announced electronically and through our newsletter and other mailings.

Singletree is located in unincorporated Eagle County and many of our services are delivered by Eagle County and by a variety of special districts and authorities that the County has approved.

Located immediately to the south of Singletree is the Miller Ranch, which is a recreational and educational complex.  This area, which can be accessd by Winslow Road, has a number of recreational facilities including a playground, a skate park, recreational fields, bike and pedestrian trails, open space on the Eagle River and a lake with a beach.  Colorado Mountain College is located to the west end of the Ranch and offers a broad curriculum for full and part time students and has enrichment courses for all of our residents.  The Miller Ranch is home to June Creek Elementary, Berry Creek Middle and Battle Mountain High School putting education for Kindergarten through college within walking distance of Singletree.
